Taxes not to be imposed save by authority of law. No tax shall be levied or collected except by authority of law.

In plain wordsThe government cannot take a single rupee from you as tax unless a law passed by the legislature allows it. Any tax demand without a law behind it is illegal, which makes this one of the strongest money protections a citizen has.
